Clear misrepresentation of Donald J Trump

Reader comment on item: There's a Name for Trump's Brand of Politics: Neo-fascism

Submitted by Larry Bates (United States), Apr 12, 2016 at 12:46

The definition of a fascist has been clear for most of the last century. It is "all power to the state, no power outside of the state". Using this simple definition it should be abundantly clear to any reasonable person, that Donald J. Trump could not be confused with a fascist ... The fact that all fascists are strong people does not imply that all strong people are fascists. Donald J. Trump is a strong man, but he has held traditionally American values for at least the last thirty years. He is also a man with strong views about the fiscal and practical corruption in Washington; views which resonate with the American people on both sides of the political divide. Before painting Donald J. Trump with the ... brush of fascism, you owe it to yourself and your readers to check out what Donald J. Trump actually believes at TrumpFocus.com

Daniel Pipes replies:

Trump despises the Constitution and the Congress. That's enough for me to know. He is also a buffoon and a narcissist. #NeverTrump.
