While I have noticed that the Israelis are much less despondent than in previous conflicts, through your breakdown reasons becomes clearer. Of course BHO's Arab Spring - Arab Winter serial has certainly helped, politically, as has the fact that the Arab Winter has destroyed the military potential of most of the Arab World....

The relative strength of Israel has massively improved, and this trend will probably continue as the civil wars play out.
