Islam demands complete and exclusive submission.

Reader comment on item: What Are Islamic Schools Teaching?

As an Indian and a Hindu studying in Aligarh Muslim University (one of the largest muslim universities imparting modern education), I witness what you have mentioned everyday.

Though the above is a Public Central university financed by the government of India, the Jamate-Islami which is very active on the campus openly incites muslims against the Indian govt. and spreads lies such as "A.M.U. is being financed by Sheikhs from Saudi Arabia".
"Jew" is the most hated word here. It is considered to be the most degraded form of abuse."Jews" are equated with thieves.Probably the Quran says so. False propaganda is spread against America.Even the classrooms are not spared. The course outline is deigned to facilitate all this.

Teachers, students and professors all are involved in such activities.
People with communist orientation carry out the same activities and inflame the same passions .They however target intellectuals.
Recently I attended a lecture by the famous Marxist historian Irfan Habib (he has been awarded the Padma Vibhusan by the Indian govt. recently and is Prof. emeritus in A.M.U.) and was horrified to hear him utter falsehoods like"U.S.A. is the most intolerant society in the world besides praising China to the sky ".

As far as Nationalism is considered, having studied Islamic Jurisprudence for 2 Semesters as a subject, the least I can say is that ,'Islam is a fiercly demanding creed. It demands complete submission and leaves no place for other identities. It seeks to convert a person exclusively into a MUSLIM'.
