False Religions

Reader comment on item: What Are Islamic Schools Teaching?

Submitted by dconnell (United States), Mar 29, 2005 at 15:01

While some of the subject matter being taught is troublesome, I have no problem at all with a religious based school teaching that all other religions are wrong that is to say "false". Christian schools most certainly should teach that Islam is false in its premises, and they should likewise be able to teach that our faith is false. All religions should allow others to share their faith with others peaceably. I believe Christianity does. I don't think Islamic countries under Islamic law allows any one to profess another religion much less argue the merits of that religion, that is a problem. But teaching that other religions are false is not in and of itself bad. Thanks and may the only true God bless you.
