Dear Sister,

If you are going by facts.. that is a good thing. But if you think what you are told and see are the facts then I would say it won't help you to understand the full fact. Of course there are muslims who are violent and reactionary. But that does not mean that all the muslims are like that. The terrorism and violence is condemned by all the moderate muslims in this world whose voices are not seen in the media. We (muslim community ) have to also blame ourselves for not as active enough to come out to condemn the violence. It is also true that some of us are active and condemning the violence.

These people who are condemning are the followers of prophet Muhammed and their life is based on the life and teachings of prophet Muhammed. I would suggest you to read the biography of prophet Muhammed by Martin Linges which will help you to see things with open mind.
