A lot of muslims must wonder what they need to do to get the respect of the west and east (Yes, the Hindus and Buddhists or the east are not exactly admirers of Islam). The day a predominently large number of Muslims start talking about things other than Islam (say about Plato, Socrates, Einstein, mathematics, literature, creative arts, physics, democracy and the like) and stop defending Islam at all costs, the problems that Islam faces today, will come to an end. Muslims obsession with Islam is the cause of the problem.
