Refugee status

Reader comment on item: Count Palestine Refugees?

If this attempt in the US congress moves forward, will there be any significant impact within the UN and the distribution of funds or concessions made to later generations of these counted refugees? I somehow doubt that anything meaningful can come of it, even if the US congress passes anything. There is too much money to be made within the massive UN aid organisations who benefit from the bureaucracies that are fed and clothed by these funds.
