Why are they singled out?

Reader comment on item: Count Palestine Refugees?

Submitted by Stas (Ukraine), Jun 6, 2012 at 17:26

How many refugees have been created over the centuries, the past one alone, and there was never any question that they would simply settle elsewhere. Why do these Arab countries continue to play this game and keep them alienated ?

The Jews themselves have been exiled numerous times, by the Assyrians, the Romans, the Germans, the Spanish, the British. Jews were officially banned from Great Britain too. I would like to really and truly understand the political reason behind this active perpetuation of the Palestinian refugees as to what this achieves and to what end.

Is it simply and purely anti Semitism (also known as anti Zionism) or was it always just about the oil?

At any rate, it illustrates vividly that the Arab countries (and probably many others as well), have no intention of giving up on their aspiration to eradicate the nation of Israel.
