Allah, the word

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Christian Arabs....

Submitted by Fred Bisharat (United States), Mar 9, 2010 at 20:53

The word Allah is a combination of the familar article the, "Al" in Arabic, and God, "Ilah" in Arabic . When a lot of idolators existed in Saudi Arabia at the time of the prophet Mohammad, and with the advent of Mohammad leading those tribes with his revelations, Mohammad warned those idolators that they have to give up their worship of idols and destroy them. He insisted that there is only one God for all humanity and that is THE - GOD --- AL- ILAH.

The word Al ilah got corrupted by the Arabs to ALLAH with a thick accented "L." Now the ignorant Westerners make fun of the word thinking it is the name of "THEIR GOD." The idiocy of Westerners, and their lack of proper education, is apparent when they say the word Musslim, corrupted to Moslem. To Obama and Jim Lehrer and all the ignorant Evangelists who are boys masquerading as leaders, please start pronouncing the word correctly. The word is not Muzzlim with a zee. It is Mousslim like in chocolate mousse. Are you listening you Muzzled Khorustians! Did I make it clear. Listen to a Britisher saying the words and learn why the Britishers are better politicians than Americans.

Isslam is the process of "giving one's self up (to the worship of THE GOD.) Mouslims are followers of that religion.

Pass the word along.
