Pipes vs. Buchanan

Reader comment on item: The Unthinkable Consequences of an Iran-Israel Nuclear Exchange

Submitted by Zentrist (United States), Feb 17, 2010 at 20:51

Buchanan writes yesterday: "Are the folks who lied us into war on Iraq, to strip it of weapons it did not have, now trying to lie us into war on Iran, to strip it of weapons it does not have?" Well, Mr. Charlie Rose--or someone--we need to have that debate. I'd like to see a debate between Pipes and Buchanan on the issue of American policies in the Mideast. At times, I am swayed by Buchanan, I might as well admit. Other times, like after reading this war of words between Iran and Israel, I'm with Daniel Pipes. One certainty, though: a public debate would be very good. Let there be "sunshine" on all the facts for "both sides." If one side is being dishonest, lacking in integrity, there must be some way of exposing this.
