What Will It Take For Our President To Finally Make This Speech?

My fellow Americans --- and by this I mean my Christian, Jewish, Secular and non-violent Muslim brothers and sisters, today is a day when we have to turn and face a set of painful facts. As we did on December 7 1941, today we must recognize that we are indeed at war. And we are at war against an enemy who aims for nothing less than our complete destruction. As we did in the beginning of WWII, we must be willing to confront our enemy by name. In WWII, we understood that our enemy was Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

Today, we must understand that our enemy is political Islam. We did not choose to fight this war. But neither will we shrink from battle. We did not draw first blood. But with a moral certainty that comes from our Judeo-Christian history and heritage, we will fight tooth and nail until we prevail. Since September 11, 2001 and even before, we labored mightily to grant Islam and its followers the benefit of every doubt, though time and again, the voices cried out "Allah Akbar!" while plunging their daggers deep into our flesh. Instead of repaying our sense of decency in the same coin our Islamic foe saw only weakness and fresh opportunities to slit our throats.

Searching for moderate Islam we found smoke and mirrors. Perhaps there is such a thing as moderate Islam. If so, now is the time for it to come forward and fight with us against this scourge of humanity. We now comprehend fully and in the sober daylight of this difficult day that political Islam is a malevolent force determined to thrust us back into the barbarous darkness of 7th Century Arabia. We will not submit. We will not yield another inch of our precious ground to a mosque or madrassa. Today, political correctness must yield to pragmatic survival. Today is the day when we assert ourselves in proud recognition that our Judeo-Christian secular civilization is worth defending, worth cherishing, worth fighting, and possibly even dying to protect.
