Dr. Pipes asks, "What size disaster must occur to inspire a serious approach to counterterrorism?" ------------we all know the answer. I would add that: 1) This week is an anniversary of the shoe-bomber Richard Reid's similar attempt to use PETN aboard a trans-Atlanic flight to the United States. 2) PETN is well-known as a favored weapon of Iranian and Syrian-sponsored terrorist groups in areas bordering Israel
