Hi Dhimmi no more. You know I admire you A LOT.

I was reading your questions and if your permit me, I would like to comment on some as a foreigner.

1. Then why give him a valid visa until June?

To get a Visa to the US from the country I was born in., for example, you need to prove ties with your country, especially financial ties, showing to the authorities that you will NOT stay in the US. The length of that varies with your age. If you are in your 20s, you are given 6 months. I guess the fact that he was influent and affluent counted mostly.

2. How come no one seem to have known in the consulate in Lagos that this man is connected to al-Qa3ida?

Perhaps b/c the conception of Islamists is inmost mind linked to poverty and personal disgrace. Why should a youngster so well done have relations with Al Qaida?

3. And what is that religious seminar that he was supposed to attend?

That's interesting b/c every single seminar we attended, before living in America, we had to show to the consulate authority the proof of its existence. Apparently for some, exigencies as such do not exist.

It is more interesting.

When I got married, a couple of days before the great party, we went to the American consulate to get Visa for our Honey Moon as of 7 days here.

I brought the invitation as proof to the consulate, and my whole financial situation in my country.

My husband to be, did have considerably less than I.

They ended up giving me a Visa but not him a Visa. We had to run with our wedding- under the law- that was supposed to take place in the same day as the party, in order- to bring more docs as proof so I would pass my honeymoon with my husband, not Mickey Mouse.

Yet, we got Visa for only 7 days. We hold both excellent jobs in my country, meaning we were NOT going to stay illegally in the US, yet the Visa was for 7 days- we were in our 20s.

Apparently the financial situation dictated the matter, and perhaps, THE ONLY factor that counted to the American Consulate in regards to the Islamic terrorist?

Submitting....
