The text of the Coran does plentifully justify such acts. 9.111 says that believers kill and get killed in the path of God (in exchange for paradise) -- that's suicide bombers in a nutshell. The Koran is full (I'd say almost all suras with more than 20 lines contains some of it) with quite clear incentives to despise, scorn, hate, kill, slaughter unbelievers (and none to pardon and/or love them). And it gets worse if you consider the "historical" context (Sunnah): the prophet did kill people indiscriminately -- women, children... -- just because they were "of them"; he did have people assassinated for speaking against him; he did condone treacherous murders (during sacred truce). And that was supposed to be quite good in God's eyes. So much so that you'll always have a good percentage of such believers who will indeed try and kill as many people as possible. To please God. Actually, all Islamic schools of jurisprudence condone (military) jihad and explain and justify it in quite similar ways. And for all the evolution of Islam in the last centuries, nothing indicates that we will ever arrive at any stable situation where a real majority of Muslims will actively condemn and prevent this. Unless they start by rejecting the whole thing for what it is: a poisonous scam.
