Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Allah may be the arabic word for "god", but Allah is not the same God as Yahweh

Submitted by Petruza (Argentina), May 23, 2009 at 20:31

Allah means "the god". The article is added to emphasize that it's the only god there is.
Al means the, and ilaha means god, as a generic word, together they form allah
I'm Atheist so I can't speak for theists, but they claim to adore the same god.
Christians took the sacred books of the jews, and in turn Muslims took theirs from the other two, so basically they have the same god. (One wonders why they still keep slaughtering each other )
