Late in the game, I also wrote to GE (in case they think we forgot)

Reader comment on item: CAIR's Assault on Paul Harvey

Submitted by Huge Fann (United States), Mar 27, 2004 at 04:16

The purpose of this email is to register my strong objection to the capitulation of GE when pressured by islamists to cancel advertising on the Paul Harvey show referenced in the attached article by Daniel Pipes (Dec. 2003). The sentences highlighted in red were highlighted by me, not Mr. Pipes.

As an ordinary American citizen, I cannot do much more to fight terror than remain vigilant in my daily life and write letters such as this when other, more powerful entities renege on their opportunities to strengthen our civilization by affirming its values and freedoms. By cancelling your advertising, you at GE have demonstrated that you lack the courage and integrity that is being demanded of ordinary American citizens serving our country and protecting it from harm--and I find that to be a shameful state of affairs. In short, GE, you coulda been a Contender--but you blew it. Please try to stand for something next time this occurs and don't let yourselves be bullied.
On the up side, and of no relevance to this topic whatsoever---I really love the Drawing Tool on your Imagination At Work web site!

Thank you.
