Reader comment on item: CAIR's Assault on Paul Harvey

Submitted by Fred Keller (United States), Dec 24, 2003 at 11:46

In my view the easiest solution to this problem is while on the air to ask the people from CIAR if they have indeed read their Koran. Harvey should have then taken a Koran and read the relevant passages on the air.

I have seen numerous interviews with the people from CIAR, every time there is some section of the Koran that says kill the Jews and Christians and they are confronted with this on radio or TV, they say well, the rest of the book has been translated correctly, however that part has been translated incorrectly.

If I remember correctly, haven't several of their high ranking members been detained for supporting terrorism?

Some one should explain to these people that the United States Constitution that guarantees them and others freedom of religion, is not a suicide document for the United States, to be exploited by them or anyone else to try and replace our republican form of government with an Islamic one as some of their members have called for.
