You bet I consider islam a big threat!

in response to reader comment: Islam a threat to you?

I have known a few muslim families, one very well (I thought) for years. And I always liked them, thought nothing prejudiced after 9/11. But I got a new neighbor some months ago, very devout--we spent a lot of time together. She thought I knew nothing so I got to hear about some koran miracles, the importance of the right hand, what's allowed and not allowed, etc. She gave me some headscarves!

Then 5 or 6 months ago I became aware of the Coughlin thesis--I have done a complete turn around! It all fell in place for me. We have one of those public charter schools for the little muslims here, one visitor to my neighborhood has 6 kids, and one on the way. Wafa Sultan has (or had--don't know what happened) a petition to stop sharia recently. I sent it to some people I know, most well-educated ones. One guy thought it was silly, it will never happen. Another actually got mad at me for sending it. One guy is a big middle-aged kid too busy biking to take the time to read Coughlin. I tried explaining but I think it fell on deaf ears.

Even when I mention the tax dollars for their "muslim" schools! All these people live places where they do not interact with muslims. Which is exactly what I want to do--but then what will happen if we all leave the cities where they congregate? They or usually companies controlled by them are buying up many strips of abandoned stores around the area. Worst part is they put islam first and accept NO criticism. Can't be close with people I can't be honest with! The war with islam starts with islam, not with US! What are we to do?
