What a Question

Reader comment on item: Which Has More Islamist Terrorism, Europe or America?

Submitted by Civiltheory Network (United States), Jul 15, 2008 at 20:08

Everyone sounds so disappointingly ignorant. What difference is Muslim, or Christianity? Extremist or Politician/President? Racist or Nationalist? Religious or Atheist? They are all either the same basic thing, or so much the exact opposite of the same they actually have become the opposite equivilents of one another.

"they hate americans" I hear you say... Don't you hate them?? (who is right, who is wrong?)
Posing a question like this only breeds more negative and hates in people's minds. Muslims at their core are just trying to live their lives by the good book, and have a great deal of morality. And Christians, the same. There are Christian extremist also, who beat and rape women, and marry several young underage girls at one time, and bomb abortion clinics, and white churches burn down black churches... so, why add fuel to that fire, by getting everyone all riled up?

The human race will never learn.
"God" the creator of you, doesn't fit into your stereotypical religions. he isn't Muslim, or Jewish, or Christian. How silly that anyone would think so. How silly that anyone could be so arrogant as to think their view, or religion or people are God's "chosen people". God also doesn't prefer one race, nation or person over another.

It's also very funny to me that the better half of the world seems to think that the U.S. shady administration and global corporate dollars aren't to blame, but instead, the bigger of the two guilty parties is in fact Islamic Extremist. Sure, they exist, but how much damage are they actually responsible for, how much do our governments allow to happen to fix your minds to their agendas, and how much are the governments completely responsible for themselves before making someone else the scapegoat?

I guess in the end my point of view makes no difference anyhow. So why should I even get into that much? In the end the hateful comments will overshadow my attempt at settling things down.
You'll all go back to your propoganda media shows, and keep believing what Fox News network would have you to believe... and then finish up your night in front of the boob tube trying to decide whether or not you are "Smarter than a 5th Grader" ... and in the end you'll discover you aren't.
