let me clarify my statementsReader comment on item: Other Taxpayer-Funded American Madrassas Submitted by mz ravin black (United States), Apr 10, 2008 at 11:08 by the way the minnosota class as being described it is more of a religous session and less a class on the study of islam or the quran first of all, if they want to teach how the prayers are done that is acceptable...but that can be done by the teacher washing his hands, kneeling on a carpet, then reciting prayers...to use the gym seperate from the class of study is clearly an attempt to have a prayer then as to study the prayer process second, the question has to be raised...are the children allowed to quesiton the verses in the quran...and are the children being taught the comments that relate to the context of the verses... thirdly, the question raised can be the true legal test for this situation because the quran has a chapter that says "the quran isn't a forgery" which means that no one can question the way the quran was wrote they have to agree to every verse in it...that would not be a study that would be a indoctrination....and by being forced to agree to the verse does not leave open the question what does the verse mean and how did it come into being...thus, is not a study of islam i thank you for your patience, mr.pipes...because this is a problem that needs to be solved...and some say we spend the first 20 years of our life as babes having information told to us...we spend the next 20 years collecting our own information our way...then, we spend the next 20 years trying to give an opinion and find out if change is possible...which means one lifetime is never enough time...
