Reader comment on item: Other Taxpayer-Funded American Madrassas

Submitted by Linda Green (United States), Aug 29, 2007 at 13:43

I wonder....what is the difference between these schools and Jewish Charter schools? Am I wrong in thinking that a Charter school is NOT private and gets money from taxes??

My grandkids go to private jewish schools but I heard a charter schhol is opening for Jewish Higher Education in the Tampa Florida area.. I was awfully happy about this until I read this article. Please tell me where I'm wrong...

Thanks. And also for the wonderful work you do!
