in response to reader comment: Muslim Schools in America

Mr. Ahmad,

Does the United Kingdom have separation of Church and State (as part of the 'law of the land')? You wrote that Muslims pay taxes and therefore should benefit, same as all others, and have Muslim public schools. However Muslim schools are religious schools. Arabic language courses can and should be taught/offered, right next door to Spanish language courses, French, Italian, etc.

Mr. Ahmad, I must say I am consitently amazed at the, for lack of a better term, greed that so many Muslims exhibit once they've been in a freedom-oriented society for a while. Really, it does you and other Muslims a great dis-service and shows an incapacity on your part to best benefit from the very freedoms you sought by leaving your homelands.

I don't mean to insult you. Consider it constructive criticism. In the U.S.A., we have tens of thousands of Mexican immigrants sending their Spanish-speaking children to public schools. They're thriving. These children learn English at an alarmingly quick pace, and infact often help their own parents with English.

Mr. Ahmad, Islam was once Great. Time to be Great again. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Use but don't abuse the freedoms offered in Western countries; only then will you be truly respected. -JS
