Muslim Schools in America

Reader comment on item: Other Taxpayer-Funded American Madrassas

Submitted by Iftikhar Ahmad (United Kingdom), Aug 29, 2007 at 15:58

Salaam

Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools in western countries. It is a crime against humanity to send Muslim children to non-Muslim schools with non-Muslim monolingual teachers. Bilingual Muslim children need bilingual Muslim teachers as role models. There is no place for a non-Muslim teacher in a Muslim school.

Bilingual Muslim children need to be well versed in Standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. They also need to be well versed in Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry.
