Smear tactics

Reader comment on item: On Being Borked

Submitted by Laura Hagans (United States), Aug 27, 2003 at 15:12

Sorry, Dan, for the trying times you've had to endure, but everyone understands that someone of your strength and intelligence and dedication to principles of right and common decency will always face the smear tactics of his enemies - that's all they have to fight with.

The Smear was chief modus operandi of the cold war and the communists honed it to a fine art. It is only natural that those on the side of darkness would resort to this tactic.

If one has ever received at the front steps milk in glass bottles from the milk man, this metaphor will be clear - the cream ALWAYS rises to the top.
