"Eejits" courtesy of Father DougalReader comment on item: Jihad in Jersey Submitted by Kevin M (United States), May 14, 2007 at 05:59 "Eegits" is the stage-Irish pronunciation of "idiots," a term often used in the British comedy series "Father Ted." This sit-com involved the misadventures of three highly eccentric Irish Catholic priests on a tiny island in Ireland. Father Ted was a compulsive gambler, liar and womanizer. Father Dougal was simple-minded on a grand scale, and Father Jack was an unrepentant alcoholic and crank.
