Immigration controlReader comment on item: Jihad in Jersey Submitted by Freedman (United States), May 14, 2007 at 01:52 I think the US finally has to crack down on illegal immigration. It is simply to risky security wise, regardless of what the Wall Street Journal thinks about it otherwise. As for legal immigration, there is too much of it because of the welfare state. If there is anyone who should be restricted, it should be Muslims, not because I am antagonistic towards them, but because currently they pose a security risk. Similarly, in the 1920s, Americans restricted Italian Catholics who came from a fascist country and were anarchists and bootleggers. They restricted Jews who came from Nazi countries and were leftists and gangsters. Even though I am a European Jew myself, I understand why the US had to make these restrictions.
