"Going" Fundemantalist

Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Going Islamist?
in response to reader comment: How can a Muslim go Islamist?

Submitted by Alan Greer (Germany), Dec 22, 2006 at 18:27

Many a Christian has become a "fundelmentalist." It's about being galvanized to a cause and re-dedicating their lives to this new variant on their old belief system.

Jews often rededicate themselves as well (even when it's not Hanukkah!)

The Islamists are very literalist readers of Koran, and Koran is a book of violence. Islamist is just one step beyond Mulsim.
