How can a Muslim go Islamist?

Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Going Islamist?

Submitted by Fahri Sahin (Turkey), Nov 7, 2005 at 16:03

Don't you see a mistake of logic in the question "Is Turkey going Islamist?"

Turkey is already a muslim country as England, France or Germany are Christians. As these countries can't go Christian, Turkey can't go Islamist. How can a Christian go Christian again? How can a muslim go Islamist again? Are some poeple more Christian than others? Are some people more muslim than others?

Turkey has already decided to become a secular country and equal to all religions. Whereas she decided again to keep Islamic units under her control contrary to her previous decision.
Then I want to ask: "Who asked this question?"
