Response to Balikesirli and Zubair & Gotlieb

Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Going Islamist?

Submitted by Bige Vona (United States), Feb 13, 2006 at 19:43

To Balikesirli: There is a manner of dressing in every serious organization, they also can't attend the university in shorts or T strings. And, nothing which symbolises Political Religion have a place in the universities or government offices. This was the reason for that law in 1923, it is the reason now. Learning to read Kurran has never been a problem, children can learn about any religion they select. By the way it is KURRAN not KORAN.

To Zubair: Kurran's interpretion and application of those have been changed so many times it will make your head spin.

Gotlieb before you comment on a religion which is as dear to us as your faith to you
Please show the courtesy of reading it. I will not give examples. Not worth it.
