Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Going Islamist?

Submitted by Darwin Barrett (United States), Jun 7, 2005 at 17:39

Given all the Pro-Islam/Anti-Western activities that seem to dominate the media, I can't help but suspect the motives of all Muslims who claim to support democracy. This is the opportune moment to put an Islamic "democracy" together. Westerners are "dying" to help the Islamists further their agendas and seem to be incapable of identifying deception. When the communists infiltrated the US educational system they pretended to be interested in diversity. Once they gained control they changed the agenda and now a conservative can't get a voice. Same thing with the mainstream media. Most westerners think these people are stupid. The Muslims have an agenda. The agenda is in the Qur'an. They must follow the Qur'an. They can, however, deceive the infidels to their hearts desire. If the infidels believe them, then the infidels are stupid and deserve what they get. By the way, an Islamic democracy is where everyone votes for Islam, lives by Islam, and submits to Islam; and that, to a Muslim is the definition of Peace. See, they want the same things we want.
