Why so much Hatred?

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Submitted by Abdul Rahman Reijerink (Australia), May 24, 2006 at 10:39

Why is it that so many of the people here who claim to believe in a loving and merciful creator can spout so much hatred?

Why must the people of different faith expressions that worship the same deity insult each others scriptures and messengers, would the prophets do such a thing?

Why must such venom be spouted to defend the divine source of life? Surely a sickness lies in your hearts.

come to an agreement between yourselves upon what we all believe, use kind words and show respect for our difference. To me is your belief and to you yours.

we all believe we follow the right path, insulting someone elses does not make yours any more correct.

On Judgement Day our differences will come before the only one fit to judge.

P.S. Mr Pipes, We do not believe that Jesus or Moses, may Allah grant them Peace and be pleased with them brought any error into their messages, what we believe is that their message has been distorted... something so many of the Muslims seem bent on doing today despite the injunctions against this in the Divine script.

May the true Deity who created all that exists who is in need of nothing yet everything is need of give us all guidance and forgive our sins.
