I don't know what will happen, but I don't think the US is as far gone as Europe, though. For one thing, we don't seem to have as much guilt as Europe. Some on the left have the guilt, but they are only about 20% of our population here--40% conservative and the rest moderate. Europe seems so different in their mindset than the US.

Unless the Republicans get their act together here, I look for the Dems to take control of the House and possibly the Senate in November. Then Bush will get nothing done for the next two years. I don't know how any of that will affect our foreign policy; we will also have new national elections in 08. So, I don't know what will happen to us either. But, right now, I'd still rather take my chances in the US than be in Europe.
