Assalamualaika,
Many christians know about Islam very much. Some of them even more than Islam themselves. Maybe you may not believe it but I watched a debate about between Muslims and Christians in Indonesia. The people who converted to Islam were the people with strong Christian background some of them future priests. The bible itself brought them to Islam. How ? Because of all the mistakes and confusion. There are things that were forbidden to do but they did it. So it means that they commit a sin. However, not to worry Jesus wil bear all the sin. Why did you forbid it on the first place ?

I know that it's is better to see the mistakes in you rather than others. However, does that I mean I have to keep quiet ? What if Allah ask why did you kept quiet and not show what is right ? That is not good. A hadith even said if there is sin around you the least pray that Allah give them guidance, if you are stronger, use your mouth and finally use your hand. I think, to me personally, as I try to correct others I strengthen myself. Between muslims, reminding and showing what is right and wrong is each other responsiblities as a community. It always happens where there are differences in views. That is when we refer to Quran and Hadith. However, the basic remains the same. I think, that is how things should be.

Brother, you said to Richard that "Even if the bible is proven to be ultered and unreliable, that doesn't destory anything. Faith is Faith, and I am sure a lot of people knows that. Hindu is a major religion today, though there is no founder to be traced back and criticized." I do not quite agree with you. Yes faith is faith but it must on something. How can you be faithful to something proven to be unreliable and ultered ? If the bible is proven to be ultered and unreliable then of course it destroys everything. If you trust something and it turns out to unreliable, what will you feel ? You should feel betrayed, cheated. Unless you are too proud to admit it. I think, you shouldn't have said that. It sounds as if you do not really believe that Islam is showing reality and the truth. I am saying in hope that we are going to the straight path.
