"I wonder if they're not as crazy as they act..... There's every reason to believe that their march toward nuclear weapons will eventually lead to the transfer of a portable device that will be handed over to others, not directly traceable to Iran, who will detonate it here."
If this is not enough to get the world to act, then we're truly alone. I don't see anything wrong with letting Iran and the rest of the world know upfront that any terrorist attack using a nuclear device will result in Iran's destruction. We should not be swayed by people who will say that we are targeting civilians. The transfer of nuclear devices from Iran to a terrorist group will require the acquiescence of Iran's nuclear scientists. The Iranian people openly support what is being done and so will not be able to claim innocence. Iran's fingerprints may not be on the weapon but they will not be able to evade responsibility. They should know that that is the risk they take by both going nuclear and making wanton threats against other nations.
If Iran's nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, as they claim, then they have nothing to worry about.
This would be my policy, so I guess the world is lucky I'm not in the White House.
