inability to read the Arab mind

Yet again Mr Pipes points out American fallibility when it comes to reading the Arab mind. This inability to comprehend a different mindset dooms all American interventions at peace security and democracy to abject failure. James Wolfenson who has given it his very best has just given up in disgust.

I say, say again, and keep reiterating, America had done a tremendous job at defanging a dangerous regime, and should call it a victory. The next rogue Islamic fanatic society that will benefit from defanging is Iran. As for the Arab-Jewish conflict over the sovereignty of the Holy Land, if it were not for American displomatic interventions it would have ended long ago with a decisive Arab defeat. Let America withdraw from direct intervention, and allow the Jews to win.
