Lebanon refuses to allow Taiwan president plane land in Beitut! a Chinese influenceReader comment on item: Hugging Iraq's Leaders Submitted by Harrak (Canada), May 4, 2006 at 12:07 Just to add there that today Lebanon refused to let the Taiwan president plane land in Beirut. That is a strong chinese influence in display. The connection I see here is: China<---->Iran<----->Syria<------->Major powers in Lebanon Amal and Hizbollah<---------->Pan-Islamic/Arab public opinion ans left wingers in the west at most. I wonder if the USA realizes that she is playing with losing cards (the boy named Hariri and the unstable person named Jenblat) refusing to play with winning cards (Syria and allies) just because of Israel. To get what! and till when! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
