Reader comment on item: Hugging Iraq's Leaders

Submitted by Phillip (United States), May 3, 2006 at 08:45

Dr.Pipes,

You have eloquently exposed the vulnerable under-belly of U. S. Foreign Policy. Not a very pleasant sight.

Our blatant patronizing of Iraqi leadership is no more than self defeating. To further compound the confusion is our refusal to confront the enemy militarily with the objective of neutralizing their destructive capability. Rather, we send our fighting men in a "targets," rather than soldiers."

Not a very pleasant sight.
