The Palestinians do not have to be a nation of supermen to be able to sustain punishment. Instead of demoralizing Londoners, the blitz motivated them to stand fast and withstand the threat of invasion. The bombing of Berlin and other German cities had dubious results as well. While Allied bombing made hundreds of thousands of civilians homeless, German civilians dusted themselves off and continued with their lives as best they could. German war production even reached its height amidst a full fledged bombing campaign in the summer of 1944. Clearly both the German and English civilians alike were terrified by the bombings, but it is also clear that they were both willing and able to endure the bombings as long as they had to.
