Dr. Pipes, I found your article of 5/21 quite interesting and I hope your conclusion (that the Palestinians will run out of endurance by the end of this year) is right, but am quite skeptical. At best, I would expect that the Palestinians seek a respite from violence, and then find a pretext in the not-distant-enough future to resume their assault on Israel. They've been at it over 50 years this time around. During the Crusades, they kept at it for five times that long. I see nothing to suggest that they will give up now. Respectfully, Bruce Stevens
