Palestinians' Shoes...Reader comment on item: Hope for the Middle East Submitted by Katherine Williams (United States), Oct 21, 2002 at 22:29 Everyone always seems to be condeming the Palestinian culture for the acts of extremists. While I do not applaud the suicide bombing, as I subscribe to Western ideology, I can put myself in their shoes. It's not as if they do not have a reason to be angry and frustrated. They have been pushed aside to allow another culture to take over their home in order to appease the world's guilt for the persecution of the Jews. But now the Israelis are repressing the Palestinian culture that was extricated from their homes. Violence is not the key but it will continue because the only weapon the Palestinians have found that works is their bodies.
