The Head of the Snake

Glenn Holz and Byron Smith hit the nail right on the head when they identified Saudi Arabia as source of the problems for Israel and the rest of the free world. In addition to being the main financiers of global terror, the Saudi elite have succeeded in addicting the major Western powers to the oil drug.
Perhaps just as important as these things, however, is the fact that Saudi Arabia is the spiritual heart of Islam and Arab chauvinism. Each year, Saudi Arabia extracts billions of dollars in revenue from Haj pilgrims who visit the country to satisfy the requirements of their religion.
My feeling is that if Israel, the US and the rest of the free world are really serious about attacking the cause of this increasingly dangerous Islamic threat to civilization, then they must eliminate its nerve centre -- Saudi Arabia. The Arab and Muslim world must be taught an important lesson - their religion is deeply flawed and incompatible with civilized humanity. Unfortunately, a huge proportion of Muslims throughout the world do not understand that shoving their abominable religion down the throats of others by force is wrong. The only thing they understand is brute force. Therefore, the West will sooner or later come to realise that the only way to fight this evil is through force and that they must strike at the heart of the enemy.
As for Israel, she must under no circumstances abandon her settlements in the West Bank and Gaza. In fact, Israel should start a program to expand settlements because this land is strategically vital to Israel's continued existence. Right now, the West is tugging at the sleeves of Israel and India, asking them to back off from confrontations with their Islamic enemies. They want these two brave and long suffering democracies to follow the current Western path of Neville Chamberlain-style appeasement. As Dick Cheney said, one day there will be another major terrorist incident in the US. That sad day will probably end the pretence that free civilization and Islam can co-exist in peace.
