How can 21st century liberal democracy (and other non-moslem cultures) relate to brutal, medieval, absolutist and stagnant Islam culture?

Islam is in conflict with all of it's neighbours, whether in Northern Nigeria with it's cultural necesity to impose primitive Sharia law, southern and western Sudan (Darfur), Kashmir, southern Thailand, Phillipines, Sulawesi in Indonesia or western China with it's Uigur moslem seperatists.

It cannot accept modernity because modernity is NOT islamic, although weaponery invented by the kafir is so so KOOL.
Modernity is progress imagined, devised and created by human beings.

Islam is rooted in primitive social, cultural and religious tenets invented over 1,000 years ago, and these have no relevance to this century, or even last century for that matter. The overwhelming majority of moslem faithful live in grinding poverty under brutal tyrants, both secular (Assad II, Ga Ga Gaddafi, ex-Sadie Hussein) or religious maniacs (the nazgul of Iran, the ex-commander of the faithful Mullah Omar, or the wahhabist nutters in Saudi).

We will be fighting jihadis till the universe collapses back to it's Big Bang status.
