Could be a Man for PeaceReader comment on item: Muhammad Ali v. George W. Bush Submitted by Abir Chaaban (Canada), Nov 30, 2005 at 11:14 What he religiously believes does not cancel the fact that he did present his demands for what he perceived as his idea of freedom. He presented his views peacefully and not by resort to violence against civilians so that he could prove his point. This on its own is significant. In my opinion the question of: what are the ideological underpinnings of people's demand for freedom? Does not really matter be it in demands for freedom of expression or freedom of religion. However, demands for freedom or what we perceive our freedom require should be expressed peacefully and not by resort to violence and especially violence that is targeted at civilians. I think that this is what makes one behavior a civilized behavior and the other a terrorist act.
