Daft dodgerReader comment on item: Muhammad Ali v. George W. Bush Submitted by Ron Christensen (United States), Dec 18, 2006 at 00:37 I served in Viet Nam and have never been prouder than knowing Muhammad Ali was an American that disagreed with the war. He gave up everything he earned for his belief and I think that took as much courage as serving in the military at that time. Anybody that has ever been in the ring, amateur or pro, knows the fear you have before a bout, but facing all that and giving it up after reaching the pinnacle takes a veritable man among men. Muhammad Ali has nothing to be ashamed about. I would be honored to call him a friend. And yeah, I am a honky white guy.
