Ali's gesture was playful as was the President's "Put 'em up." This actually was a warm exchange between a couple of guys who have been in some dandy fights - one in the boxing ring and the other in the political ring. There's no doubt that Ali and Bush hold widely divergent views, but I kind of think that's what America is all about.
