"Listen here,Folks! You ain't seen nuttin yet" said the late and great Al Jolson. How I miss the immigrants that came with him what seems like so long,long ago! Hard working ! Talented and so eager to fit into the new country of America. Italians,Poles,Russians,Jews,and the rest of Eastern and Southern Europe came with their goodness and their heart in the right place. They couldn't speak English too well but they made sure their kids did and study in school too.How they would add to America in so many ways:music,art,law and just being good citizens adapting the new way of America but still keeping the old and trusted and beautiful ways of their former homelands.The magic of Jolson,Crosby,Sinatra plus our own homeland favorite,Nat King Cole.The Great Depression didn't pull America down as the new immigrants worked along side the other Americans to make America unique and so,so great.While other nations were being dragged into the hell that their dictators would put them,America stood even more powerful than the last and previous generation of Americans which set it into another level of life that all peoples have always wished for themselves: freedom and co-operation within and amongst the different diverse peoples that made up America and make it the dream of the rest of the world.
I grew up in a neighborhood with people of Hispanic ,Jewish,Italian,Polish,German,Slovak and Russian plus Irish and Negro backgrounds. What baseball and football teams we had! State High School Champions for three years in a row.Plus everyone spoke English and had a father-mother at home. We worshiped on Saturdays and Sundays plus always said a prayer before school games for safety of both teams. We didn't import players from everywhere as they do now for school records .We represented our own schools whether we were good or stunk. Family,you might call it! Our parents drilled it in our heads that America gives you the chance to improve your lives and we had better make good use of the schools.Unlike today's teenagers ( 58% for the boys and 54% for the girls according to US Reports) who practice oral sex thanks to the publicity of a former President ,we practiced oral sex too...we TALKED about it and made marriage the union into which sex really fits. Father-wife and children ..church or temple....schools...practicing racial understanding on the sports field or classroom...getting ourselves ready for the job of adult life...wanting but respecting the girls in our neighborhood...
realizing that all the institutions of the community should have respect if we were to also get respect: the policeman ,doctor,teacher,clergyman,shopkeeper,and politician all who lived in our neighborhood as well. But most important was respecting our parents and the the other boys and girls who lived there too as we were a family.Intermarriage became easier then with respect. Babies were a blessing not a burden as is today. Babies were to be from the mother and father who were married and not some night's fling as today.
But times change as they usually do,Folks. Congress in all its wisdom wanted to open the door to the "other" kinds of people too so it could be a better multicultural and diverse nation. In came the Asians from the Orient and this was good. But from the minds of the deserts came the idea that they must make our infidel nation into the paradise of the children of the desert. This was not good.

So America rose to its highest peak in History and now comes its fall. As long as an enemy came from without to attack America,we could and did win against the prevailing evil. Now the disease of an Evil Empire has entered our wonderful land and is spreading not only in its own numbers but in its converts to this Evil Empire. Internal war will be the only answer as the wonderful Congress that gave us this open door policy has its pockets filled with oil money plus a dingbat Supreme Court that has done its best to destroy what was good of the Law in this land and replaced and is replacing it with a foreign doctrine of evil from the Evil Empire!
So as Al Jolson said,"You ain't seen nuttin yet,folks!"
