Reader comment on item: Enforce Islamic Law in Canada?

Submitted by David J. Bastyr (United States), Sep 28, 2005 at 13:34

I believe that the rise of Islam is proportional to the rise of secularism/relativisim and the subsequent fall from Judeo-Christianity in western civilization. Secularism/relativism, a modern version of ancient paganism, has created a moral vacuum that is being conveniently filled by Islam. History has shown that societies that have lost their moral foundations are destined to collapse only to be recreated under some form of barbarism. Islam fits that bill nicely. I think that western civilization in order to survive must rediscover the Christian ideology that was instrumental in its original creation.
