I think you have no proper understanding of Islamic Sharyah Law. Sharyah Law is far more effective than any other Law on most cases. If you study the British Family Law then you will understand something. Where it came from? In Sharyah Law women have rights too. In general women are far more protacted in Islam.

I advice you to study Islam and you will see something totally different to what you are talking about.
