Homophobia is deplorable and has nothing to do with the burquini issue

Reader comment on item: Ban the Burqa, Allow the Burkini
in response to reader comment: ban on burkinis

Regrettably this comment has turned a serious civil liberties discussion into a vehicle for expressing
homophobia. In fact homophobia is actually comparable to Islam and sharia law because it deprives a group of people of their civil liberties, in this case gays and Muslim women. As opposed to homophobia, which is an aberrant trait of some individuals, the oppression of women is an innate feature of the religion of Islam and therefore of all of Muslim society, and is countenanced in the Muslim world by all Muslim nations as well as individuals. However, let me point out that both homophobia AND the inferior status of Muslim women are a result of RELIGIOUS fanaticism and authoritarianism, and usually led and enforced by men (or by women completely dominated by men). So your homophobia is as deplorable as Islamism and sharia law.
