Burkini looks ugly

Dear Dr Pipes,

Thanks for your essay recommending a ban on burkhas but endorsing burkini. I agree that Burka must be banned but burkini may be allowed. But I also believe that as a fashion-item and/or a product, burkini is never going to catch up even among Muslims: it look ugly. I am assessing burkini purely as a product and it has nothing to do with religion, subjugation or non-subjugation of women or with social mores. It is purely an assessment based on aesthetics. For some reasons, wet-suits look OK. Just my opinion, as they say.
